How could the gaps be turned into a property of Mom’s Co-op?
As an extension of the existing building, a through timber structure has been attached. It can be used as a commercial space during the day (e.g. a nail salon) and as a family gathering space at night.
The interior of the existing building and the two parts of the additional structure are connected by a staircase with openings to ensure mobility between the two. The double roles of a single mother is made possible.
